"For me the excitement of Impressionism is the spontaneous textural brushwork and inspired
use of opposing colors. In this example from "Summer Veranda" the yellows 'pop' not only
with the impasto brushstrokes but with the accidental notes of violet and turquoise over the
subtle undertones. This technique helps me convey the excitement of the subject matter."
